Refund and Returns Policy

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made from Blackwire PCs, a trading name of HOT COMPUTERS LTD (Company No. 16971008).


1. Overview

We aim to ensure all customers are satisfied with their purchase. This policy sets out your rights regarding returns, refunds, and warranty.

This policy operates in line with UK consumer law.


2. Commercial goods (important notice)

All commercial goods sold by Blackwire PCs are considered final sale.

  • No refunds will be accepted for commercial goods

  • Returns for change of mind are not accepted

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring products meet their requirements before purchase


3. Custom PCs and systems

Custom-built PCs and systems are non-refundable once work has started or parts have been allocated.

These items are covered only by:

  • 1-year labour warranty (see section 6)

  • Manufacturer warranty on individual components


4. Non-returnable items

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Custom PC builds (once processing or assembly begins)

  • PC repairs and diagnostic services

  • PC cleaning services

  • Gift cards / store credit

  • Digital products or software licences

  • Clearance items or deal drops (unless faulty on arrival)

  • Installed or activated items

  • Peripherals and accessories supplied as part of a build or order

  • Any service-based work or labour performed


5. Faulty or damaged items

If an item is received faulty or develops a fault:

  • It will be handled under manufacturer warranty where applicable

  • We may assist with diagnosis and RMA support

  • We are not responsible for replacement part costs outside of labour warranty coverage


6. Warranty

All custom-built systems include a 1-year labour warranty from the date of purchase.

This covers:

  • Workmanship and assembly issues

  • Installation faults

  • Build-related configuration issues

  • Diagnostic labour for system faults

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cost of replacement parts

  • Manufacturer defects (covered by manufacturer warranty)

  • Physical or accidental damage

  • User modifications or misuse

  • Software-related issues not caused by hardware assembly


7. Manufacturer warranty

All hardware components are also covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. These must be claimed directly with the manufacturer unless otherwise stated.


8. Returns process

Where returns are permitted under manufacturer warranty:

  3. Follow return/RMA instructions provided

Return approval is required before sending any items.


9. Shipping

We use UK-based couriers including:

  • Evri

  • Royal Mail

  • DPD

We only ship within the United Kingdom.
